After being delayed for 15 months due to the challenges of the global pandemic, it was truly a joy for us to make it to the breathtaking region of Vorarlberg in Austria for the Propel Conference.
In conference venues with architecture as eye-popping as the landscapes, we enjoyed three days of workshops and one-one sessions, in the pretty little town of Mellau, surrounded by mountains and cows grazing in pastures outside the conference hotels, and a day in medieval Feldkirch, one of the larger towns in the region.
The conference included three evening events, incredible venues such as Mellau’s very cool village hall, the Montforthaus conference centre in Feldkirch, 11 presentations and workshops, 71 one-one PRO Sessions, five post-conference tours (check out the content on #PropelVorarlberg on social media), and we even grabbed bags of popcorn to watch videos created by our bloggers on the big screen at a cinema.
The conference saw 30 bloggers and speakers from around the world come together to share and learn, then use their newfound skills and already established platforms to reveal the best of Vorarlberg to their audiences.
Propel Vorarlberg in numbers and comments
The conference was followed by five post trips that matched bloggers’ niche markets and audiences and gave them chance to really experience the destination and highlight a variety of experiences to their audiences.
Twenty bloggers and three speakers, who have their own travel blogs, participated in the post trips.
It resulted in:
- More than 50 published blog posts.
- Over 1.5m social media reach.
We would like to thank Vorarlberg Tourism who sponsored the event, and also Austrian National Tourist Office for their incredible support.
Katrin Preuß of Vorarlberg Tourism said: “We loved having so many creative people from all over the world in our beautiful region of Vorarlberg.
“Propel Vorarlberg enabled us to design meaningful encounters between international content creators, local hosts and people both in and outside the tourism industry. Besides all the creative content produced during the conference, we like that there was another purpose to the event – that of improving the bloggers’ skills and helping them become more professional in their businesses.
“We also see the meaningful diversity – as displayed at Propel Conference – as an important foundation for the future.”
Bloggers attending Propel Vorarlberg described it as a “business changing event”, and we’re beyond thrilled to be able to share that it received a 100% satisfaction rating from attendees in the conference survey.
Putting the spotlight on Vorarlberg
